Welcome to NBBC's 109th Season

The 2018 Season at NBBC is well underway and our 109th year gives us yet another opportunity to provide an exciting and fun summer of service to others by hosting ten different groups of children and young adults who are economically challenged or have special needs ... all free of charge! Carrying on the legacy and mission of Norman B. Barr, these groups experience all of the wonders this beautiful lake has to offer and their lives will be enriched through the enjoyment of God's gifts of nature, community and faith.

This season's Camper Program Staff is lead by former camp manager Bill Tarver, now serving as our Program Director. Together with a team of four new counselors and the preparation from our program volunteeers, they are executing a full and exciting program for the children this summer. Bill's leadership abilities along with the youthful spirit of our counselors assure our young guests lives are enriched by all we offer. We welcome Hannah, Joshua, Rachel, and Elijah!

Our Camp Staff, the crew that keeps the camp operations running safely and smoothly, is made up of a veteran team of individuals who are returning in their special capacities. Under the direction of manager Cindy Reiland, who has served as our camp manager for over a dozen years, this season's staff nearly matches last season, along with a couple of new folks. Thanks to all of you for your continued dedication to NBBC!

During the past few summer's, through the efforts of our staff and volunteers, NBBC's Camper Program has expanded and made great strides, introducing Kayaks to our Waterfront, educational field trips, visiting artist programs, entertaining magicians and yoga, plus the ever popular "Science Guy" and "Reptile Show". Witness our camper program in action by visiting our Activities page and by viewing the slideshows below. We also invite you to learn more about our camp's Facilities and History by exploring this site. Thanks to everyone who contributed their time, expertise, efforts, and money, all helping to make this summer one of the best ever!

NBBC's Need Continues ...
In order to continue to provide economically disadvantaged children and those with special needs with totally free summer camp experiences, our camp has become increasingly dependent upon the generosity of individuals outside of our operation for donations of goods, services and funding.
