Norman B. Barr Camp

On the shores of beautiful Lake Geneva

The Refectory sign marks the entrance to the haven in camp for all ages looking for a little something to help that sweet tooth. While today it is better known as "The Candy Store" it has been a part of Norman B. Barr Camp as long as anyone can remember. While in camp, our camper kids are treated to a nightly dish or cone of ice cream while enjoying fun and games in the adjoining Recreation Room.

The Refectory offers your favorite flavors of ice cream (which change weekly), Sno-Kones, all types of candy (priced as low as a penny), plus Ice Cold Bottled Water, 12-inch Frozen Pizzas, Churros, Mini Donuts, Cheese Curds, and Popcorn. Check out our menu below!

Interestingly, the word "Refectory" is often used in modern context to refer to a café or cafeteria which is open to the public and attached to a cathedral or abbey. In our case, the Refectory is located directly below the chapel.
