NBBC Prepares For 106th Summer Season
With the Official Opening Day just weeks away, the NBBC community volunteers are already underway, planning and preparing for Norman B. Barr Camp's 106th year of operation. Last year, our mission hosted scores of camper children from nine different groups who all raved about their Barr Camp Weeks on Lake Geneva! This year our Children's Program has expanded and is set to host ten groups with even more activities, including the addition of Kayaks to our Waterfront Program. To view stories, pictures and slideshows from last season's groups, please visit our activities page. We also invite you to learn more about our camp's facilities and history by exploring this site.

NBBC Volunteers Arrive In Force
On the weekend of May 1st, Barr Camp hosted the 11th Annual Men's Work Weekend.

The official kickoff of the 2015 season, the event set one of the highest attendance records in it's history. Much was accomplished as more than two dozen volunteers arrived and participated in work projects that included the painting of the Children's Craft Building and portions of the Camp Lodge, repairs to three cottages, the installation of a Safety Railing, and many miscellaneous tasks, during the three day event.

NBBC's Need Continues In 2015
In order to continue to provide economically disadvantaged children and those with special needs with totally free summer camp experiences, our camp has become increasingly dependent upon the generosity of individuals outside of our operation for donations of goods, services and funding. NBBC has successfully operated this way for over a century.

Please help us help others by making a donation in any amount to insure that our camp's infrastructure, buildings, grounds and programs continue to operate properly. Thanks to donations NBBC receives and the devotion of our volunteers, our mission can grow with the tools and materials we need to succeed. Please visit our Donate Page for secure and convenient ways to donate and assist our cause. Thank you from all of us at NBBC!

NBBC Celebrates Christmas With Worldwide Webcast
NBBC's 3rd Annual Christmas Celebration was held on December 6th in the Bowman Chapel and was attended by many cottagers and volunteers of camp. The service was once again led by Galen Thomas with music provided by Jim Carstens. The chapel was transformed into a Winter Wonderland with decorations designed by Toni Sergenian and looked absolutely fantastic!

This year's celebration was also special as it was broadcast live via the Internet to the world. "Live From Bowman Chapel", NBBC's premiere webcast, was viewed by many in our community who live out of reach from the area during the off-season. The entire celebration is available on NBBC's YouTube Channel. Following the service, the celebration continued with a luncheon hosted by Nancy Samuelson in nearby Delevan. A great time was had by all!

NBBC's Road Replacement Project Concludes
Last October, NBBC completed the largest and most expensive single project in the camp's history with the replacement of a major part of our sewer system and the reconstruction of the camp's main roadway to our Dormitory, Lakefront and Main Operations building. This mammoth project was funded by generous donations and matching grants from outside patrons and organizations. We are grateful for all of those who came to our aid, insuring safer passage through camp for our visiting campers. This new road also helped alleviate the decades old flooding problems from heavy rainfalls that the camp has endured. See a trilogy of videos documenting this historic project below or visit NBBC's YouTube channel or Google+ page.
