NBBC Welcomes "St. Gall School Group"
The 2014 Season at NBBC is well underway, our 105th year of proudly carrying on the legacy and mission of Norman B. Barr. Five weeks ago, we welcomed our first group of campers, "By The Hand" from Chicago, who enjoyed a wet but wonderful week here at camp. The following week, our second camper group,"Puente Del Pueblo" enjoyed much better weather and a great time. Our third group, the "Boys & Girls Club of Elgin" took part in a special Barr Camp 4th of July Celebration, followed the next week by "Harmony, Hope & Healing's" musical week performing an inspirational concert at NBBC. Last week we welcomed back the "Glen Ellen Children's Resource Center" (GECRC) for another fun-filled Barr Camp Week. This week, we're hosting another returning group from St. Gall's School. We invite you to learn more about our camp's facilities and camper program by exploring this site. While we endeavor to expand on Rev. Barr's vision, adapting our programs to the needs of the campers we serve, we also continue to maintenance and upgrade the camp's historic buildings and grounds. In order to provide these groups and others with totally free summer camp experiences, our camp partially depends on the generosity of individuals outside of our operation for donations of goods, services and funding. NBBC has successfully operated this way for over a century.
