NBBC's 110th Season of Service

The 2019 Season at NBBC is just a few months away and our 110th year gives us yet another opportunity to provide an exciting and fun summer of service to others by hosting a dozen different groups of children and young adults who are economically challenged or have special needs ... all free of charge! Carrying on the legacy and mission of Norman B. Barr, these young people will experience all of the wonders Lake Geneva has to offer, as NBBC enriches their lives through the enjoyment of God's gifts of nature, community and faith.

This past season's Camper Program Staff was lead by former camp manager Bill Tarver, who served as our Program Director. Together with a team of four new counselors and the preparation from our program volunteeers, they executed a full and exciting program for the groups this summer. Bill's leadership abilities along with the youthful spirit of our counselors assured our young guests an inspirational time here at NBBC. We thank them for the great job they did and for their service.

Thanks also, to our 2018 Camp Staff, the crew that kept the camp operations running safely and smoothly, made up of a veteran team of individuals who returned this past summer for another season. Under the direction of manager Cindy Reiland, who has served as our camp manager for over a dozen years, this past season's staff did a terrific job! Thanks to all of you for your continued dedication to NBBC!

Thanks to all of our volunteers ... many are pictured below
During the past few summer's, through the efforts of our staff and all of our volunteers and donors, NBBC's Camper Program has expanded and made great strides, introducing Kayaks to our Waterfront, educational field trips, visiting artist programs, entertaining magicians and yoga, plus the ever popular "Science Guy" and "Reptile Show". Witness our camper program in action by visiting our Activities page and by viewing the slideshows below. We also invite you to learn more about our camp's Facilities and History by exploring this site. Thanks to everyone who contributed their time, expertise, efforts, and money, helping to make this past summer one of our best ever!

NBBC's Need Continues year around ...
In order to continue to provide economically disadvantaged children and those with special needs with totally free summer camp experiences, our camp has become increasingly dependent upon the generosity of individuals outside of our operation for donations of goods, services and funding.
