NBBC Prepares For 106th Summer Season
The NBBC Board of Directors and community volunteers have already begun the planning and preparations for Norman B. Barr Camp's 106th year of operation. Last year, concluded our 105th year of proudly carrying on the legacy and mission of Norman B. Barr, hosting scores of camper children from nine different groups who all raved about their Barr Camp Weeks on Lake Geneva! To view stories, pictures and slideshows of these groups' visits, please visit our activities page. We also invite you to learn more about our camp's facilities and history by exploring this site. While we endeavor to expand on Rev. Barr's vision, and adapt our programs to the needs of the campers we serve, during the off-season we also continue to maintenance and upgrade the camp's historic buildings and grounds.

NBBC's Road Replacement Project Concludes
Last October, NBBC completed the largest and most expensive single project in the camp's history with the replacement of a major part of our sewer system and the reconstruction of the camp's main roadway to our Dormitory, Lakefront and Main Operations building. This mammoth project was funded by generous donations and matching grants from outside patrons and organizations. We are grateful for all of those who came to our aid, insuring safer passage through camp for our visiting campers. This new road also helped alleviate the decades old flooding problems from heavy rainfalls that the camp has endured. To see a trilogy of videos documenting this historic project, please visit our Community page, NBBC's YouTube channel or Google+.

NBBC's Need Continues In 2015
In order to continue to provide economically disadvantaged children and those with special needs with totally free summer camp experiences, our camp has become increasingly dependent upon the generosity of individuals outside of our operation for donations of goods, services and funding. NBBC has successfully operated this way for over a century.

NBBC Groups from the 2014 Season

Please help us help others by making a donation in any amount to insure that our camp's infrastructure, buildings, grounds and programs continue to operate properly. Thanks to donations NBBC receives and the devotion of our volunteers, our mission can grow with the tools and materials we need to succeed. Please visit our Donate Page for secure and convenient ways to donate and assist our cause. Thank you from all of us at NBBC!

NBBC's Celebrates Christmas With Worldwide Webcast
NBBC's 3rd Annual Christmas Celebration was held on December 6th in the Bowman Chapel and was attended by many cottagers and volunteers of camp. The service was once again led by Galen Thomas with music provided by Jim Carstens. The chapel was transformed into a Winter Wonderland with decorations designed by Toni Sergenian and looked absolutely fantastic!

This year's celebration was also special as it was broadcast live via the Internet to the world. "Live From Bowman Chapel", NBBC's premiere webcast, was viewed by many in our community who live out of reach from the area during the off-season. The entire celebration is available on NBBC's YouTube Channel. Following the service, the celebration continued with a luncheon hosted by Nancy Samuelson in nearby Delevan. A great time was had by all!

NBBC Road Project Video Trilogy

On Monday September 8, 2014, ground was broken and the long awaited NBBC Road Replacement Project was officially underway. You can see the entire process from beginning to end with this trilogy of videos reviewing highlights from the entire six weeks of construction which included replacing the main sewer line from the upper hill to the lakefront, timber reconstruction and the pouring of concrete walls and sidewalks. The great crews from Stewart Excavating, JC Plumbing, Olsen Concrete, SMP Landscape and Merit Paving, working in tandem with NBBC Planning and Development Chairman Tim Hanafee, along with our "Road Crew" Ray Johnson and Bill Schueler, made this project a great success.
